I recently saw a acronym, CRUD, which stands for Create, Read, Update, Delete. And in this early decade of brewing CMS's (& CRM's), I like this term from a developer standpoint. It is what we keep programming with our DW's - Insert record, Update record, Delete record. I've been using InterAKT's MX Kollection3 beta for DW, and it does soooo much less, and clean, code over DW's default PHP_MySQL for CRUD web apps. But, CRUD still doesn't help me on the explaination/marketing tip for earthlings, er, clients.

I was wondering if anyone else has noticed some Biz-Dev buzzwords that seem to be "nicely put" for "things" us web-monkeys do day-to-day.

I expect CMS packages to get different buzz nickname when mainstream, maybe something like "Content Portal", or whatever. The term Extranet hasn't entirely caught on in my experiece, but you mention "External Intranet" and everyone in the meeting knods with confidence.
