I have had MANY issues with Javascript errors. I had to delete other DW extensions to get it working right and allowing me to even use it. Now that I have done that I still get errors when using the behavior connector.

Please help. I need to be using this right away as I had planned to use it on current projects.

Any help would be appreciated!

Hi Michael,

In the case of Javascript errors, we found that the next steps have a good result:

1. Remove the extension.
2. Clear DW Cache.
3. Reinstall the extension.

Kind regards, Patrick

Hello Michael,

Have your issues been resolved with clearing DW cache?

Just installed it, but I get Javascript errors too. I can create a new menu, but when I choose edit, even if I don't change anything, I get the following.

"While excreting onClick in dmxNavigationMenu.htm, a JavaScript error occurred."

I'm using version 1.0.1

I tried deleting the extension and cache, but that hasn't worked. I'm using a Mac running OS 10.6, with Adobe CS3.

Here's a page that better explains my problem.

HI Claude,

I think you have a different problem than the original poster here. Please try to post separate new topics in the future.

Could you try to insert a more complex menu than just two items at once and see if that works?

So the error that occurs happens on edit of any existing menu? But the menu is functional in the browser?

Try maybe different types of menus - see if all gives the same errors.

If still errors happens - please zip send me the page that causes errors. Mail to

Greetings,
George

Will do. Thought it was the same problem.

I tried that, but any menu results in the same error.

Now, I can't even create a new menu, on a new page. I suspect I'd have to delete the extension and cache again to do this.

Hi Claude,

Seems this is related to your Dreamweaver setting for handling new lines.

Please open DW Preferences then Code Format and make sure the Line Break Type is set to LF (Unix) or CR LF (Windows)

You probably had this is CR (Macintosh) but that is not used any more on OSX.

After changing this setting you will need to create the menu on a new page as the old pages were probably corrupted.

Let me know if this works

Georg

Thanks to George's help, we determined that the problem was not with the DMX "Universal CSS Navigation Menu" extension after all. It was a conflict with an extension called "MaxiMenu", by DWUser.com. Once MaxiMenu was removed, the DMX extension works great.

The service and help I received from George was fantastic and it reassures me that DMX offers great products and service.

Thanks,
